        It is a slow-growing, rounded, evergreen tree known as 'Leccino' with semi-pendant branches bearing leathery, lance-shaped, mid-to dark green leaves, paler beneath. It produces panicles of tiny, fragrant, creamy-white flowers in late spring and early summer, followed by edible, oval, green fruit ripening black.
